numeric keypad to enter numbers

When entering data, we have scroll wheel, initials or manual entry. Often the first two options are not what we need in the square, and we need to enter say a pH, 7.456 Would it be possible to give us a numeric keyboard like a calculator screen option, so that we can enter numbers quickly?? Instead of the alphanumeric keyboard?
