Drop down field in the form

Is there a way to not have a drop down single select field not automatically default to and answer on the form? For instance, I have created a yes/no single select drop down. But when I create the form in the patient's flowsheet, it automatically enters the yes answer. I would like it to be blank so there is no confusion to the client.
