Treatment Sheet Summary View
As an experienced ICU veterinary nurse in a large tertiary facility, one time and case management aspect I appreciate when dealing with larger case loads is the ability to preview a patient's chart to see what is due in the next hour or two. This facilitates numerous time management concerns. From a conventional perspective, prior to the digitized SmartFlow revolution, I've been able to do this easily with paper charts. Smartflow does have the capability to click into each patient and view the tx sheet, but even this can be somewhat time consuming when dealing with multiple, critical patients. What if there was a viewing mode where on one screen you can view a smaller picture of multiple charts at once -- mainly to help the nursing staff manage their time and prepare the appropriate treatments. This could be implemented in a variety of ways.
One quick view nursing mode could be hovering over the timeline view on that specific patient so a smaller pop up view of the entire treatment sheet can be visualized. This helps the nursing staff 'scroll' through the patients very quickly when simply needing to time manage and prioritize patient treatments.
An additional option (in the menu with timeline, workflow, hybrid, etc) could be added that is a wide screen view of about 4 charts at one time without scrolling up/down, however, provides the option to scroll left/right with arrow selection. Again, this will simply allow nursing staff to view charts in a different manner.
I have additional ideas on nursing tricks that expedite time management that could be implemented through smartflow.
