If we look at Mobile Operating System Market Share Worldwide for May 2019 android has 75.27% while iOS only has 22.74%.

 

Having android compatibility opens up a the ability to reach more customers. Some clinics are not able to afford multiple iPads. Tablets are inherently more affordable. 

 

Please take this into consideration. It's 2019. Let's move forward not backwards!
