Default entry in form field

It would be useful for us to be able to set a default entry in a form field.  For example, if the entry is usually going to be the same such as cat breed, this is almost always "domestic short hair" for us, if that could be set as a default entry it only needs to be changed occasionally, thus reducing the work of form filling.
