For medications brought by the owner and not in the hospital inventory all you can see on the medication line is "Owner medication" which makes it difficult to look at the flowsheet and see what medications a patient is unless you click on the line and see the notes section. Of course there is limited space, but what if you put an abbreviation of "O" or "OM" for owner meds? Thats what we did on out previous treatment sheets and it was an easy way to identify a medication that was not filled on house while still allowing room for the actual name of the medication.
