Putting Lb and Kg at the same time

some people are used to seeing weight in lb of a patient but most doses are calculated in kg and it would be helpful to see the weight in both lb and kg at the same time

Hello thank you for commenting -

When using SmartFlow - it does not require the patient to be in kilograms as the medication and fluid calculation function will automatically calculate the medication by the unit selected. For example in the medication Butorphanol if you dose it at 0.2 mg/kg and that is what it is on the treatment sheet and you have SmartFlow set to display pounds then SmartFlow will calculate the weight into kg in the background to do the math correctly. The same for any drug dosed by pounds. (FAQ HERE) If you are dosing by pound make sure to use lb (do not use lbs as it will then not calculate by pound).

If you want to have both displayed you can make a parameter on SmartFlow labeled Wt (x) in whatever measurement you would like. Or you could have the Weight in the whatever SmartFlow is set at and the opposite (kg/lb) in the Critical area or Custom area to display on the patients Treatment sheet.

I hope these suggestions help -
