Temporary inactivation of notification while pt is in surgery

Hello. Summit uses Smartflow with most patients in the treatment area prior to and after surgery. The flowsheets have highlighted treatments that are active even when the patient is in surgery. Currently the treatment staff places strike-throughs on the treatments when the patient is in surgery but then new data can no longer be placed in the boxes when the patient recovers within the same hour of treatment.
The administration is currently recommending moving the patients that are in surgery into the department folder so that the treatment staff does not "see" the highlighted treatments and then move the patient back to Treatment at the time of recovery.
Is it possible to create a function that would inactivate the pending treatments while the patient is in surgery and then reactivate the patient upon its return to the treatment area?
Thank you
