Currently, when a patient has an abnormal vital added (temperature exceeds range, etc), the individual cell changes the parameter color to red. The staff member that enters this value should then inform the DVM, but this can be missed on some occasions.
What we suggest is that, when this abnormal parameter is entered, the cell on the whiteboard changes to red to make it obvious to the DVM that there is an abnormality without opening every treatment sheet every hour.
+/- a way to mark the color change as "reviewed" by the DVM. Once marked "reviewed" the color on the whiteboard would change back to yellow.
This would be very helpful when we have a lot of hospitalized patients. I vote for color changes. WRN
