As SmartFlow is a calculator the concentration of the medication is required. When creating a template for future use - a pre-set dose is NOT required to save to a template. If you would like a medication to be placed on a template for efficient and NOT have a preset dose put in place - put a 0 in any of the 3 fields. and hit done. The medication will appear on the treatment sheet with a red bar around it indicating a dosage is needed and will not allow it to be signed off on until that dosage has been ordered.

This facilitates the ability to charge capture the appropriate tablet or volume given to the patient. If this for a NON-billed item you can do as you are requesting by creating medication parameters using a different method of creating a medication and still having as you requested only the medication name and total dose requested. You can see a video HERE on how to create those. This method is typically used for medications that the owner has already been charged for or have brought in.

Alternatively if you would like medications without a dosage/concentration you can make them as a non-medication parameter and then in the instructions or notes put in the total dose being given. If this method is used the parameter can not be placed in the medication area.
