We had a suggestion from a clinic that it would be very helpful if the timers for anesthesia and procedures would also time stamp in the notes when pressed. This would be an easy way to record anesthesia and procedure start and stop times, in addition to the total time recorded with the timers.

We think this is a great idea - what are your thoughts?

If you are looking for a way to monitor start and stop times for anesthesia and procedures currently, this method may work for you:

You can add a parameter for "Anesthetic Time" and "Procedure Time" in the Other section on the anesthetic sheet. Both of these parameters can be created with a drop down picker, with the options for "Start" and "Stop". If you add these two parameters to your anesthesia templates, it would be a simple way of recording the anesthesia and surgery start and finish times.
