So, I have a doctor that wants to start a patient on a particular medication and wants the first dose given immediately and then continued every 8 hours after that. If we do it that way, it will always be off-time with current medications.
If we had a change frequency option as part of the adding treatment window, we could say to give this medication immediately, but for subsequent doses we choose a time that the patient is getting other medications.
This would result in more efficient time management from technician staff and allowing the patient more time to rest in between treatments, while still starting medications in a timely manner.
We looked at implementing this feature and regardless of how we design it, seems like you will consistently have to click more times than simply scheduling for the next treatment and then manually highlighting the first hour. Please let us know if it makes sense.
