Blood Transfusion sheet

Building out a dedicated blood transfusion sheet that is tailored for specifically blood transfusions verses the work around of using the anesthesia sheet which doesn't give us all the information we need.  It needs to have a similiar "preoperative" kind of page but with different information and then the monitoring section that can be built out with options for monitoring at 5, 10, 15, 30 mins.  This is the most frequent selection.

    Definitely should have a separate blood transfusion sheet - if a patient is getting blood and needs to go to surgery before it is completed (although not ideal, it happens!) - it makes it hard to separate out what is being tracked and what is happening.

    It would be great if non-anesthetic monitoring forms could also be tailored to other procedures that require frequent monitoring, like HBOT.

    suggested adjustments:
    *Complication with current protocol suggestion the transfusion monitoring document draft in Smartflow forms
    *Anesthesia sheet creates multiple documents in Ezyvet, the majority are tilted Anesthesia not transfusion. This disrupts workflow when reviewing record and when taking the time to notate the proper form description in the note section of Ezyvet. See attachment
     
    Solution –
    · Create a blood transfusion form like the anesthesia with a link from the patient flow sheet menu. This will also title the document Blood transfusion, not anesthesia. All the fields within the document should also be labeled transfusion, not anesthesia
    · Would like Only one report for the transfusion. The existing anesthesia sheet creates 6 different documents. Opening each document to review the report disrupts work flow and crowds the record.  At the very least label the document that contains the entire report with a title that differentiates it from the rest. Such as…..Transfusion Worksheet, or Transfusion Complete report

    I agree that there should be a seperate sheet for blood transfusions. The main issue we have with building one from the Anesthetic Sheet is the default (crystalloid) fluid rates showing up since the values are inaccurate and could lead to a possible adverse reaction/overload/death.

    I've started a recent idea to get rid of the default fluid rates and have a (much safer!) default of "0" to help avoid this issue.

    WE ARE OK WITH USING THE ANESTHESIA SHEET , BUT WOULD DEFF. BENEFIT FROM A BLOOD TRANSFUSION SHEET AS WELL
