I think that this is one of our more under utilised features mostly because of the steps involved in adding the catheter edit > menu > IV catheter. If we can find a way to make it easier to record the catheter information I think this will help. Perhaps when adding a fluid onto the flowsheet a pop-up prompt could appear saying "Would you like to record IV catheter information?".
In addition not every clinic changes a catheter after 3 days so being able to customise when the reminder appears would be great! This could be done either by a hospital wide default setting in the settings area or perhaps as each IV catheter is added there is an option for "Catheter replacement reminder in x days".
I also think that being able to record multiple catheters is a feature request that clinics have wanted for a while.
Would love the ability to add more catheters! Sometimes we have two or more we would like to track with this feature.
Also - would like a place to put tech's initials or other info - an optional free type area next to the info?
