You should be able to change the name of a task at while on any whiteboard. We use misc task due to the nature of an ER and that there are things and medications that we just don't have a specific task for in the system. When you have a pt on a multiple O supplied medications it can get confusing and tedious to click on each task to see the individual medications and dosages. Its much easier to recognize and identify mistakes if the medications are visible. This would also help get around the inventory reporting issues with using O supplied meds, since if you do have that drug in your system you still cannot use the task without affecting your inventory numbers.
