Hello! My hospital is a specialty and 24hr ER/ ICU. We have a high revolving door of patients coming in and out of the hospital, meaning we have a high revolving door of flowsheets. Very often we have patients whose care develops very quickly throughout the day and overnight. The doctors are of course updating their care to reflect that. However, sometimes there isn't enough time for the doctors to update the nurses on the changes in care with their case load. It would be potentially helpful if a notification would pop-up, just like the out-of-range vials, when new treatments/ tasks or diagnostics have been added. This can help prompt the nurse immediately to view that patients flowsheet for new items and alleviate miscommunications or lack there of between doctors and nurses. Please comment any questions or follow up concerns! Would love a forum on this topic to make it bullet proof! :)
