For a number of our cases we enter them into smartflow prior to their admission to the hospital (surgical drop offs for Monday, etc) so that we can make anesthesia plans in advance and have things ready to go first thing in the morning. We usually have a default blank hospitalization template that then gets adjusted once the animal arrives.
This has resulted in a number of patients having treatment sheet templates accidentally made for the day the visit was created, rather than the actual day of the procedure, and a lot of backtracking and copying and pasting to get the information back where it belongs.
Since many of these "visits" are made several days in advance, it would be nice if the system would automatically add another 24 hours to a treatment sheet once the real time has progressed beyond the time at which the current treatment sheet ends. Whether this is better done with a set template for all, or copy the previous template I'm not sure.
